The second annual Rockford Hero Rumble returns November 7, 2026, to Hard Rock Live Rockford as the region’s premier Police vs. Fire charity boxing event. Sanctioned by USA Boxing, the program features our region's first responders competing for community pride, boxing belts and a traveling trophy for the winning Department, all while raising awareness and funds for the nonprofit Carrie Lynn Children's Center. The inaugural Hero Rumble drew more than 1,000 attendees and raised $14,000 for Carrie Lynn, a certified 501(c)(3) serving Boone and Winnebago Counties as a trusted support system for families grappling with the challenges of child sexual and serious physical abuse. The Rockford Fire Department and Rockford Police Department partnered in selecting the Carrie Lynn Children’s Center as the 2025 Rockford Hero Rumble nonprofit beneficiary. Serving Boone and Winnebago Counties, the Center stands as a trusted support system for families grappling with the challenges of child sexual and serious physical abuse. The Carrie Lynn team coordinates investigations, medical care, counseling referrals, legal support and training — all with a focus on the well-being of victims and families so they receive the help and protection necessary to heal and thrive.
